The ECG disconnected electricity supply to the state broadcaster’s transmission station at Asokwa for non-payment of accumulated bills to the tune of GH¢1.7 million.

According to the Regional Director of GBC, ECG workers days earlier came to the premises trying to disconnect their power without any notice but the move was resisted by some workers and they had to leave only to return to the place in a Rambo style.

However, Minister of Information, Mustapha Hamid has appealed to ECG promising to clear the debt .
