Local reports have confirmed his death

Former goalkeeper of the Burkina Faso national team Soulama Abdoulaye has died .

According to reports from local media, Soulama passed away on Friday night after battling illness for a while.
The lanky goalkeeper made his name with Kumasi Asante Kotoko and became one of the best foreign goalkeepers to play in the Ghanaian league during his stinT with the Kumasi giants.
He also carved out a successful career with the Stallions of Burkina Faso playing at three AFCON tournaments with the team.
Soulama's final club was Ghanaian side Accra Hearts of which even though he had been away from the side due to his illness.
