Bayern Munich defender Kwasi Okyere Wriedt how shared his excitement after finally making his debut for the German giants.

The 23 year old striker replaced Spanish star Thiago Alcantara in extra time as Bayern defeated RB Leipzig in a penalty shootout in a DFB Pokal match.

"I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight " he tweeted after the game in what has been a good start to his Bayern career.

Wriedt's inclusion in the setup was just reward for a string of fine displays for Bayern's second team that has caught the eyes of new manager Jupp Heynckes.

The former Ghana Under-20 international has struck eight times in ten Regionalliga outings so far this season, building on the 12 goals he scored for Osnabruck in Germany's Third Division last term.
