Electric cable thief dies

A man died due to an electric shock after he allegedly climbed an electric pole to steal copper wires on the Accra-Tema motorway on Thursday morning.

The young man believed to be in his twenties was found dead under the transformer with various types of electrical tools.

The Tema Regional Police arrived at the scene and have since moved his body to the morgue for autopsy.
