The power play in the club has negatively affected the club’s performance on the field of play, going six seasons without a major silverware.

Mahatma who departed the Accra giants at the end of the 2013-14 league season after winning the top-scorer award has called on the leadership of the club to unite.

“Hearts of Oak is a team of unity. If there is no unity there is no way you can win games. When I was there, there was unity in camp so we got the result,” he told Starr FM.

Mahatma is currently on holidays in Ghana after helping his Sogndal gained promotion to the Norwegian top-flight.
