Watch Michael Essien score a screamer for Panathinaikos

A pass from the right was artfully laid to Essien and the 33-year-old Ghanaian punched it with a commanding effort that ricocheted off the bar before sailing in with the goalkeeper beaten.

Michael Essien scored his debut goal for Panathinaikos in the Greece Super League on Sunday.

The Ghana international the game to bed for the Greens with a superb finish in the 78th minute at the Levadia Stadium.
