Speaking on Starr FM's on Wednesday, Mr Ibu, known in real life as John Okafor indicated that Mr Buhari has good intentions but he is being hindered in organising his government.
The comic actor was optimistic that the president will deliver after a year in office.“I think he is facing distractions. People are forcing him to give them posts but I think he should be allowed to form the foundation of his government. Let’s give him a year then we can see what exactly he is doing. Let’s give him one year then we will all know," he said.
Mr Ibu however revealed that he did not vote for Mr Buhari.“I did not vote for Buhari ; I voted for Jonathan because Jonathan is humane, not only is he from my place, he has the heart of a man and also values people around him but I support Buhari as my President,” the comic actor said.
Buhari assumed office on 29th May 2015. He is a retired Nigerian Army major general and was Head of State of Nigeria from 31st December, 1983 to 27th August 1985, after taking power in a military coup d'état.
