Yesterday, the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) presented a 3-bedroom house to George Asamoah Amankwah, the 2014 National Best Farmer.

The presentation took place at Manso Nkwanta in the Ashanti Region.

The fully furnished house, built at a location chosen by the beneficiary, comes with burglar-proof reinforced doors, a water storage system and a garage among other essential amenities.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Board Secretary of ADB, Mr. James Agbedor, noted that ADB took over the title sponsorship of the Farmers' Award Scheme in 1987 and has since maintained the "heritage" of presenting the ultimate prize to the National Best Farmer.
