The Board member Frank Nelson Nwokolo spoke on the issue during the live programme Football Legends Night Show on GHOne TV  and he made the assertion that the players find it hard in understanding what goes into signing contracts.

“Every time we travel we carry the contracts around and we tell them to sign their contracts which they have verbally agreed.

“At the end of the day they refused to sign because they say they want their managers to come to check the English and laws in the contracts and in the long run these said managers do not show up.”

Mr Nelson also explained how the contracts got to this point without being signed.

“We started speaking to them before the just ended season begun on different occasions and different packages with similar response.”

Mr Nelson Nwokolo also gave the wages offered being a contributory factor to the players declining to sign

“We have to look at the economic system and what clubs pay in this country”
