According to the Executive Director of EOCO, K K Amoah, his outfit picked intelligence about some expired and unregistered confectionaries on the market. He said in a media briefing that through investigations his officers traced the products imported into the country which had been taken off the shelves at their home country to the two aforementioned companies.

Mr. Amoah further revealed that information from the Food and Drugs Authority indicated that almost all the goods at the warehouses had not been registered. EOCO has therefore invited the warehouse manager and the secretary for questioning since the owner of the companies is out of the country.

The development happened just few days after that by virtue of ineffectiveness of the Food and Drugs Authority fake and expired products are imported into the country unnoticed.
