Former Kotoko and Hearts goalie honoured at FA Cup Final

A minute silence was observed for the late Soulama Abdoulaye when Hearts of Oak faced off against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The football world was thrown into a state of mourning following the demise of Soulama Abdoulaye at his hometown in Burkina Faso.

The former Burkina Faso international graced the Ghana Premier League for nine consecutive seasons playing for the two most glamourous clubs in the country- Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

Hence, a final between the Phobiale Sports and and the Porcupine Warriors was appropriate for the fallen hero to be honoured.

In the game Saddick Adams bagged a hat-trick as Kotoko thrashed Hearts of Oak 1-3 at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Soulama Abdoulaye won four Ghana Premier League titles, all with Asante Kotoko- 2007-08, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.
