The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has congratulated the vice presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Brigitte Dzorgbenuku on her nomination.
In a tweet, Nana Akufo-Addo said: “(1) Congratulations to Brigette Dzogbenuku on her selection as running mate to @pknduom of the PPP.”
"(2) She is welcome into frontline politics, and hopefully, she'll help shape positively, the national conversation. pknduom."
Dr Nduom earlier hinted that his running mate will be female. He believed his choice will give meaning to an “all inclusive” and “Ghana first agenda”.
Dzogbenuku won the Miss Ghana pageant in 1991. Even though she is a member of pressure group Occupy Ghana, she cannot be described as one who is actively involved in politics.
