Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker has said that he cried at the dumsor vigil last Saturday because the effects of the worsening power crisis is unbearable.
Some celebrities and other people from all walks of life protested governmentâs handling of the energy crisis that has lingered on for the past three years. Many companies have laid off workers to reduce production cost as they are compelled to use generators.
Van Vicker, addressing the gathering broke into tears and has explained that he cried because it pains him to see people perish as a result of power cuts.
In his latest post on instagram, Van Vicker wrote:
I cried at the vigil because⊠I am fed up with dumsor running my life.I donât see why there has 2be an accident because the traffic light doesnât work.I donât see why my small cash I have I should use it to buy a generator when I have school fees to pay I am tired explaining to my kids why there is dumsor.I donât see why people should die at the hospitals or not get treatment because dumsor says so.I was touched by all who showed up. That truly people are in pains because of dumsor.I donât see y because of dumsor babies have 2have heat rashes all over them.I donât want my life to revolve around dumsor.I donât want dumsor dictating to me; what to do and when to do it.I am tired of calling friends b4 I visit to see if they have lights or not.Etc.
