Its always baffling that foreign media has always struggled to accurately depict life in African countries. Foreign media such as Daily Mail depicts life in African countries as nasty and poor or they zoom in on the rich 1% and emphasize their extravagant display of wealth.

There is never a balance in their depictions. Its either an African is poor beyond belief or is a money, crazy aristocrat. Daily Mails latest article on Nigeria is too ignorant.

Daily Mail, the famous UK newspaper is the latest foreign media outlet to make a goof. Siofrra Brennan decided to write a Daily Mail article on the rich kids of Nigeria on Instagram. What could go wrong huh? A lot apparently.

The Daily Mail article titled  was published on Thursday, October 20, 2016, and it is blatantly ignorant. Brennan clearly failed to do her research on who the billionaire Nigerian kids are.

In her Daily Mail article, she mentioned E-Money, Noble Igwe, and Mo'Cheddah as rich kids. If this wasn't laughable it would have been borderline offensive. E-Money is just a rich guy who loves showing off. We don't need to see his birth certificate to know he is not a kid. For God sake, E-Money is the father of 3 kids. Ms Brennan would have known if she properly Googled.

Mo'Cheddah is no rich kid. Yes, she is dating a rich guy but the pop singer is far from entering the Forbes Africa list. And popular blogger Noble Igwe? Even Nobs will tell you boys are out here grinding. Ms Brennan used a photo of Noble Igwe and Ebuka on his wedding day and wrongly captioned it "Two men in matching suits show off the purchase of a new Mercedes vehicle."

The Daily Mail article was filled with so many errors. Somehow this Daily Mail journalist thinks South African hot couple AKA and Bonang Matheba are Nigerians. Also, Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe makes an appearance. I am sure in Daily Mail, Kenya and South Africa are two bus stops away from Nigeria. You know, a lot of people in Europe and America still think Africa as a country. Surely, South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya are states in the country called Africa.

Also, anonymous characters such as B Naira, Mompha, and Hush Puppi (who are these people?) make up the Daily Mail article. Like I said, this Daily Mail article reeks of ignorance. To make matters worse, there is a photo of American rapper Gucci Mane in this Daily Mail article. I think I know the answer to this one- all black people look alike.

Clearly, Daily Mail needs help, so let us help you out. Next time you guys want to do a Daily Mail article like this, take a look at DJ Cuppy, the Mbadiwe twins, Adama Indimi, Temi Otedola, Dangote's daughters etc. These are the proper rich kids in Nigeria.

It's a huge shame that a big media organization like the Daily Mail would write such an ignorant story based off a poorly curated Instagram page. Come on guys, you can do better.
