According to Starrfm reports, The truck, with registration number GS 4482-Y, had a break failure, while descending the Kpeve Mountain, thereby running into some stationery vehicles before knocking down the young girl and two other persons near the Kpeve market.
The incident, brought trading activities in the market to a temporary halt, as many of the traders including the mother of the young girl, were left devastated.
ASP Jonas Agbevam, Peki district Police commander, who confirmed the incident to Starrfm reporter Lambert Atsivor, said the injured persons have been rushed to the Peki Government hospital for treatment.
He added that his outfit has commenced investigations into the incident.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck has escape and is being tracked by the Police the report added.
