Michael Jennings scored a second-half double in his 200th NRL game as Parramatta Eels beat Manly Sea Eagles 22-10 in Kieran Foran's return to Brookvale Oval to go second in the ladder.
Foran helped Manly win the 2011 NRL title and was also part of the side which were runners-up two years later before opting to make the move to Parramatta this season.
There was no room for sentiment on Thursday, as the Eels captain faced his former club for the first time since his departure and came away with a fifth win from seven games.
Jamie Lyon took advantage of good work from Tom Trbojevic to put Manly in front with a try 16 minutes in and scored four points with the boot in the first half, but Brad Takairangi went over in the corner in a first half which ended with the two sides locked at 8-8.
A second Lyon penalty put Manly, who lost hooker Matt Parcell (hamstring) and prop Brenton Lawrence (hip) to injury before kick-off, back in front but Parramatta scored 14 points in the last 11 minutes to seal victory.
Jennings scored two tries against Canberra Raiders last weekend and the centre pounced on a Foran grubber to turn the game in Parramatta's favour, then went over again before Semi Radradra's try put the icing on the cake.
