Mike Ford has urged Eddie Jones to consider Henry Thomas, Nick Auterac and Matt Banahan when the new England head coach names his first squad.

Bath head coach Ford has revealed that he met Jones at the Premiership club's training base last Friday as the Australian ponders which players to call up for the Six Nations.

Jones also watched Bath's dramatic European Rugby Champions Cup win at Wasps on Sunday and Ford gave his opinion on the international credentials of his England hopefuls ahead of the game.

Ford told BBC Points West: "I gave him a couple of names such as Henry Thomas and Nick Auterac in particular.

"He's also looking at Semesa Rokoduguni and Kyle Eastmond. I threw the two names in, plus Matt Banahan who has been playing well for 18 months."
