Wembley proposer Surugiu marries fiancee

Romania scrum-half Florin Surugiu made headlines worldwide when he proposed to his girlfriend on the Wembley pitch during the Rugby World Cup last year, and on Wednesday the pair tied the knot.

On the pitch there were few moments to savour for Romania as they were comfortably beaten 44-10 by Ireland in September's pool-stage clash.

However, Surugiu ensured it was a day to remember as he got down on one knee and, with thousands of spectators still in the ground, popped the question.

Luckily for Surugiu she said yes, with the story drawing the interest of the world's media and almost five months on from that memorable moment the happy couple have said their nuptials.
