Hearts board member slams midfielder Malik Akowuah for smoking

Malik Akowuah is in the news for the wrong reason after he was caught smoking in public.

A photo of Malik Akowuah with friends at a joint smoking shisha has gone viral and Frank Nelson who is one of the powers there be in in Hearts of Oak has criticised the midfielder for his unwanted behavior.

“It is not a good thing for Malik Akowuah to do even in off-season,” he told Accra-based Hot FM.

“The club alone can’t give you a good brand, you must also brand yourself well, this is not good for us as Hearts of Oak.”

The Phobians cough up huge sums of money to secure the signature of Malik Akowuah and is perhaps the most expensive signing in the current team, but he hasn’t been at his best since joining the Accra giants.
