The South African authorities are still searching for a Ghanaian diplomat who has been missing for about a week now.
Charlotte Nana Yaa Nikoi, who is a director at the United Nations Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) was last seen on Cape Townâs Table Mountains.

According to the South African news website News24, a comprehensive search has been conducted over the area on the ground and from the air.

According to Johan Marais, spokesperson for the South African Wilderness Search and Rescue team, there is very little chance that Nikoi is still in the area.
âWe are 95% sure that she is not in the area we went to search for her. Which means she came off the mountain and was either taken away, or went away from that area.â

At the time of her disappearance on March 21, she wore light-blue shorts, a cream, black and brown cardigan, a sleeveless black top, brown sneakers, and oval-shaped glasses.
