The insurgents were said to have stolen cartons of cooking oil from a convoy of vehicles in Ngassama and other foodstuff from Dabanga in the far North region.

Boko Haram terrorists, on Thursday, June 11, 2015, attacked the towns of Dabanga and Ngassama in Cameroon, residents say.

According to a source cited by Cameroon Concord, the terrorists also took many hostages from Dabanga.
Earlier reports had it that the sect had been hit with a shortage of food, weapons and fuel following heightened operations against it by Nigerian troops.
Meanwhile, Cameroon was on Thursday part of talks with Nigeria, Benin, Chad and Niger Republic to create a joint force against the sect.
