Minister To Distribute iPhones To NDC ‘Footsoldiers’

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Samuel Sarpong has promised to give out free mobile phones to the communications officers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region.

This is to ensure party communicators are well equipped to propagate the achievements of the Mahama-led administration especially in the Ashanti region.

Speaking onAdom FM Monday, Dr. Sarpong noted that as part of efforts to get get enough votes in the stronghold of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2016 general elections, communications will play a key role.

He noted that retaining President Mahama in power should be the target of every NDC member in the Ashanti region.

Samuel Sarpong who did not reveal where the funds would be coming from added that it is for the good of government.
