When Mr Mahama lost his re-election bid in 2016 to then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo, his family came out to say he will bow out of active politics.

 But it appears the ex-president has bow to pressure within the NDC to rescind his decision to bow out of active politics.

Anyidoho, who wasDeputy General Secretary to Nketia, was seeking to oust his boss to become the substantive General Secretary.

In the end, he proved to be no match for Mr Asiedu Nketia as he was heavily defeated.

He was axed from office after he revised that AMERI Power deal that generated controversy.

Otiko Djaba was ousted from the Gender Ministry to become Ghana’s ambassador to Italy. She, however, rejected the job, offering to retire from active politics.

According to her, she was bowing out of politics to take care of her ex-husband who has had stroke for the past six years.

Mr Freddie Blay was elected chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) after he beat Stephen Ntim and Dr. Amoako Baah at the party's Koforidua conference.

The former lawmaker garnered 3,021 votes as against Ntim’s 2,515. Dr Baah managed a paltry 18 votes.
