The much-anticipated third edition of the ACCA annual students summit and job fair came off at the International Conference Centre on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

The event which was well attended saw hundreds of students from all walks of life present. The event also saw professional finance trainees in the making participate.
Speaking to Pulse.com.gh, Mr Kweku Anim Boadu, Education Services Manager said the programme saw was about 1800 people attending [a mixture of ACCA students and non-ACCA students].
He opined that the summit gave the participants an update on the trends in development in the accountancy profession and also encourage them it is very possible for them to become finance professionals.
“… for the upcoming ones, it was an avenue for guidance on how they can become finance professionals; it was also an avenue to give some solution to students who have a challenge in completing some of their papers,” he said.
ACCA Ghana on the day also presented citation awards to deserving students who top in the various papers in Ghana and competed very well globally. “What was fascinating is most of these students didn't just top Ghana, some of them placed well amongst the top 10 globally.”
The second part of the summit was a job fair which had companies like; Vodafone, Databank, ABL, Ernst & Young, Cal Bank, DELOITTE, KPMG, First Atlantic and Jobberman offer job opportunities to both ACCA and non-ACCA students on the day.
