Man butchers fiancée

The mutilated body of the deceased was discovered on her farm several metres away from the settlement.

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 29,  at Anyesu, a quiet  farming community near Asesewa.

The man, identified as Baah went to the farm with his fiancée, Regina Ayobayor Kpabitey, leaving behind the woman’s seven-year-old son.

Baah, however, returned from the farm about two hours later without his fiancée Kpabitey.

The little boy, therefore, asked Baah where his mother was, but Baah told him that she will come home soon.

Baah subsequently dressed up quickly soon after and left the community, The Mirror reports.

The boy was forced to spend the night with a neighbour as his mother did not show up.

The elders of the community were alerted about the absence of the deceased and a search was conducted, where the mutilated body of the deceased was discovered on her farm several metres away from the settlement.

Residents reported the incident to the Police at Asesewa and the body was conveyed to the St. Martins Hospital Morgue at Agormanya in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

The deceased, a 41-year-old native of Odumase-Krobo is survived by six children aged between 22 and seven.

Police have since gone to the crime scene and investigations are ongoing.
