The suspects, Emmanuel Ampabeng, alias Stole, together with Kofi Gyimah, alias Barima Ye Na, Kofi Nti alias Eto, Kwadwo Owusu, alias Kojo Buggie, and Kwaku Boakye, alais Azaru, all confessed to committing the crime.
The Asokwa Divisional Police Commander, ACP Mr Charles Domaban, told journalists at a press conference that two other accomplices, Hana Sosu and Aaron Ofori Atta, pharmacy shop attendants, at Asuyeboa in Kumasi, were also arrested after allegedly supplying unprescribed drugs to the robbers to daze their victims.

He added that the police were able to retrieve from the suspects an Ash Toyota S private salon car, a steel cutter, one long iron bar, one TV set, two packets of some tablets, a pair of scissors, one plier and 39 pieces of fake Ghana currency in GH¢20 notes.
