Ghana defender heaps praise on teammates after first home win

Anzhi won their first Russian Premier League home game after they pipped Arsenal Tula 1-0 at the Anzhi Arena.

Jonathan Mensah has declared his happiness for his Anzhi Makhachkala's team-mates following their victory on Sunday.

Anzhi won their first Russian Premier League home game after they pipped Arsenal Tula 1-0 at the Anzhi Arena thanks to an Ivan Maevski strike.

And Mensah, who played three minutes of the match after coming on for Pylyp Budkivskiy in the 90th minute, was quick to declare his happiness for his teammates, tweeting: "Thank You God for everything, tough first home victory last night , well done guys".

The victory lifts Anzhi to 8th on the league log on four points after three games. The match was Mensah's only game for Anzhi this season.
