Ghana ranked 7th best in governance
Ghana ranked 7th in Africa in the latest Ibrahim Index of African Governance (IIAG).
Ghana has been ranked7th among 54 African countries on the Mo Ibrahim Index. The country scored 63.9 percent.
Ghana was assessed in the areas of safety and the rule of law, human rights, sustainable economic opportunity and human development.
The report says the country has shown significant improvement in the category of human development - that is welfare, education and health.
Ghana, according to the report, is one of eight countries to have been consistent in their performance, since 2000.
The Overall Governance level over the decade is Cote d’Ivoire, Zimbabwe, Liberia and Rwanda.
The rest are Mauritius, Botswana, Cape Verde.
The report said Ghana improved by 46.6 points in the Digital and IT infrastructure indicator over the past decade.
