A teacher who is supposed to be a good example showed his bad side when he allegedly raped an 11-year-old student.

Hon, who has been dragged to Makurdi Magistrates' Court, is accused of locking the girl in school's staff room and using his fingers to break her hymen before going ahead to have carnal knowledge of her.
The randy teacher could have gotten away with his crime if the girl's mother had not noticed the way she walked when she got back from school and upon interrogation, she told her parents that 'Teacher' Hon was responsible for her situation.
The girl's father, Ageva Gbaden, then reported the rape at the Divisional Police Headquarters at Tse-Agberagba, and the case was then transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Makurdi.

However, the suspect pleaded not guilty when the case was mentioned and the Magistrate, Lillian Tsumba, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 and adjourned the matter till July 16 for further mention.
