According to metro.co.uk, the convict and his daughter had been out of contact for many years, but reconnected around Christmas 2017, and he invited her to his wedding.
The news website added that while at the wedding reception hosted at a country estate in April 2018, the convict’s daughter became “very intoxicated” and was brought to the bridal suite at 2.30am by her father and another guest.
The court heard that both the convict and his bride arrived in the bridal suite about an hour and a half later, and he fell asleep between the victim and his new wife.
Danish media, JydskeVestkysten reported that the convict, at a point in the night grabbed his defenceless daughter and raped her despite her feeble efforts to resist him.
It is reported that “When she asked him to stop and tried to sit up, he pushed her hard in the chest.
“After this, while she was on her back, he forced sexual intercourse despite her begging him to stop several times.”
Having sexually assaulted his own daughter, the convict reportedly apologised to his victim via a text message, saying: ‘It was a mistake. “I’m sorry. I thought it was [wife’s name]. Can’t we try to stay in touch? I’m sorry.”
However, the victim rejected the apology. She is quoted as having responded: “I think we should cease all contact. What you have subjected me to is something I cannot accept.
“I asked you nicely to stop and you continued. I shouted, you continued, I hit you, you continued.”
