A new study has predicted that self-driving cars will be everywhere in five to ten years.
According to this study, self-driving cars will very popular between 2020 and 2025 because drivers are already showing interest in autonomous features like lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.
Business Insider has also given favorable predictions concerning self-driving cars as their report shows that about three percent of new cars will be equipped with self-driving technology by 2020.
These self-driving cars will have a range of safety features like collision avoidance, vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-grid communications, and more.
Despite all the good qualities of self-driving cars, something still has customers apprehensive.
This is the fact that these vehicles will be linked to a network via a cellular or other connection, thereby leaving drivers exposed to hackers.
Ultimately, all we can do is wait and see what the future holds, hopefully the hacker threat would be fixed by then.
