A stain that makeup artist Rommy Najor actually created using a superpigmented lipstick.

Here's how her makeup artist pulled off the smart beauty hack.

First, he picked the right shade of lipstick.

"The color is basically an amplified version of a just-bitten lip," he says.

Amplified is right, the color is intense, so Najor softened it a bit by applying it with his fingers. After running the tip of his finger over the lipstick, he then pressed the pigment onto the lips, starting in the center of the mouth and working his way outward.

"Your fingertips are the perfect shape for applying lipstick, especially the curved points of the Cupid's bow," says Najor.

Fingers aren't foolproof, though; "I went back and buffed the edges of the lips with a small, fluffy eye-shadow brush.

Not only does it diffuse the pigment, but it also gives you an even application by spreading the color to areas you can't reach with your fingers, like the perimeter and corners of your mouth."
