1. Leaving the day after the wedding

Let’s face it. Weddings are fun and stressful. You don't want to start your honeymoon exhausted from the wedding, jet-lagged, and cranky. Rest for the night and start your trip refreshed and rejuvenated.

2. Packing too much.

We totally understand that you want to look fabulous in fancy dresses and lingerie on your trip but don't bring too much; no one wants to lug around a lot of luggage on a honeymoon.

3. Going for quantity instead of quality.

Some honeymooners think once they spend more days on their trip, it’s going to be better. The duration of your honeymoon doesn’t determine whether it would be fun-filled or not. So instead of stretching out your trip, spend a couple of nights and engage in really memorable once-in-a-lifetime experiences, like a balloon ride or a helicopter to the top of a glacier.

4. Scrimping on your trip.

If there's any time to splurge on the wedding budget then its the couple’s apparel, wedding bands and the honeymoon.

Save enough money for your honeymoon because the next time you go back to your honeymoon destination, you might have kids with you, and then you'll really be scrimping.

5. Doing too much

Honeymoon is just the beginning of a beautiful life together as a couple. You don’t have to fly to all the countries on your wish list within that short period. And it is very expensive to fly between countries. Why not simplify and enjoy yourselves?
