Cleaning raw fish, handling a large quantity of locust beans, chopping onions etc. may leave your hands smelling like those food for the rest of the day.
Here are three ways to remove such odours from your hands.
1. Baking soda:
Baking soda is arguably the all purpose ingredient in every kitchen. To remove smells from your hands, mix it with some soap and wash your hands thoroughly with it.
2. Lemon/lime juice:
Lemon or lime juice is a very good neutralising agent that will take care of any odours clinging to your skin. Lemon or lime juice is particularly recommended for fish because it breaks down animes (which are the cause of the fishy smell) to ammonium salts.
3. Cold water:
Of course you need water to wash your hands. But do not make the mistake of using hot or warm water. Hot water will open up your pores and the substances or oils on your hands will seep in and stay on your skin longer.
