Netflix's Next Interactive Show Will Be an Outdoor Adventure With Bear Grylls

Following the success of 2018s Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Netflix announced that it would be investing in developing more choose your own adventure content-and we now know that its next interactive series will be an immersive expedition experience hosted by famous adventurer Bear Grylls.

What We Know About Netflix's You vs. Wild

You Vs. Wild was announced during an executive sit-down with Netflixs original programming team at the streaming companys headquarters in Los Angeles, Deadline reports. The announcement was accompanied by an interactive trailer for the new eight episode series, in which viewers have the option to answer or decline the call of the wild aka, a FaceTime call from Bear Grylls.

Each episode of the interactive family show (the title of which is a play on Grylls Discovery show Man Vs. Wild) will take viewers on an adventure in which they are fully in control of Grylls choices, blurring the lines between traditional television and online gaming in the same manner we first saw in pop culture phenomenon Bandersnatch.

Dense jungles, towering mountains, brutal deserts and mysterious forests await, with tough decisions around every corner. In this groundbreaking interactive adventure series, you make all the decisions and whether or not Bear succeeds or fails is totally up to you, the official synopsis reads.

You Vs. Wild will be available to stream on Netflix on April 10.
