Between November 2012 and September 2014, the Justice Department reports, the young man sent his victims emails pretending to have come from Apple or Google inviting account holders to provide their credentials. He was able to reach at least 50 to 72 iCloud accounts and Gmail accounts.

The young man accepted a deal to plead guilty of violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, which protects the contents of the computers of American institutions and citizens.

He faces five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, but the agreement recommends a sentence of 18 months in prison, according to the Department of Justice.

Unless the police managed to establish liability to dump more nude photos of celebrities on the Internet, which is currently not the case.
