Almost 13,000 people have lost their jobs as a result of the power crisis that has plunged the nation, the Ghana Employers’ Association has revealed.

According to the Association, many more jobs could be lost in the coming days if power supply is not improved.

“As of January to date, about 12,600 people have lost their jobs due to the energy deficit.

“If the energy deficit continues to threaten the economy… investors cannot invest in Ghana,” 1st Vice President of the Ghana Employers Association Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi stated at the National Job Summit in Accra Wednesday.
