The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has called off its strike

The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has called off its three-week-old strike, an official statement from the leadership of the doctors has stated.

The doctors embarked on the industrial action over government’s inability to agree on their Conditions of Service.

A directive by the National Labour Commission to resume duty yesterday, Thursday August 20 was ignored by the physicians.

But a text message being forwarded to members of the GMA and intercepted by Starr News said the doctors are willing to go back to the negotiation table with the government.
