Ghanaians flay Akufo-Addo for ignoring brutalities in Nigeria

Ghanaians on social media are bashing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his silence on brutalities on peaceful protesters in Nigeria.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

Yesterday, some members of the Nigerian Army opened fire on unarmed protesters at the Lekki toll booth in Lagos, injuring hundreds and killing dozens.

This has drawn the ire of Ghanaians on social media platforms calling on President Akufo-Addo to act as the Chairman of ECOWAS and speak out against the atrocities by the Nigerian government

The anger reached fever pitch this morning when the president tweeted about his position on the ballot paper in the 2020 general elections.

Many tweeter users flayed the post and described as insensitive and completely out of place.
