First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has commissioned the Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

It also has a Neonatal ICU Ward, Neonatal High Dependency Ward and Neonatal Isolation Ward, with a full set of medical equipment for patient care.
The PICU has a bed capacity of 41 and will attend to children from birth to age 12 and was built by the Rebecca Akufo-Addo Foundation.
