In June, Kwesi Nyantakyi resigned from his posts as Ghana Football Association president, CAF first vice president and FIFA Council member, after being captured in an exposé by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, receiving $65,000 (£43,000) in cash from an undercover reporter.
Although Ahmad refused to point to individual cases, he said CAF has shown that it is fighting corruption by suspending officials “who were involved in corruption before”.
