Christian Atsu has so much to say about Rafa Benitez and it's all love

Atsu talks about how his manager Rafael Benitez makes every player feel at home at Newcastle.

Having played for FC Porto, Rio Ave, Vitesse, Everton, Bournemouth, Malaga and Chelsea, the Black Stars attacker has worked under a lot of football managers.

Atsu’s current boss Rafael Benitez seems to be special.

The loving relationship between the former Chelsea player and his boss is fueled by the Spaniard’s approach to having a good relationship with his players.

Christian Atsu as reported by Newcastle Chronicle tells of Benitez:

“He [Benitez] loves to play football. He loves to be compact, aside that he is very good with the players. He asks how we are feeling and how we’re doing. Rafa asks if we are tired and things.

“He doesn’t just do things on his own but he looks after us and sets up the training. We’re very happy to have him.

“He’s a great manager and he is doing very well. Aside from football, he is also a good, good man.”

Christian Atsu joined Newcastle United on loan in 2016 before completing a permanent to move to the Premier League club from Chelsea. The Ghanaian player has made 21 appearances for his club in the current season.
