'Ghanaians eat too much sugar or have fertile imagination' - GFA Normalization Committee member

A member of the Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee, Naa Adofoley Nortey, has said "either Ghanaians eat too much sugar or have fertile imagination."

She made the disparaging remarks after some reports emerged that she was under pressure from her family and friends to resign from the job.

"In my short time in public service, I have realized that either Ghanaians we eat too much sugar or we have very fertile imagination," she said on Asempa FM's Sports Nite show.

According to her, the committee, installed by FIFA, following the resignation of former GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi, will finish its work by March 31, 2019.

The four-member committee, headed by Dr Kofi Amoah, are to among other things, run the day to day activities of the GFA, review the GFA status, bring normalcy to Ghana Football.
