A superb seven-under 65 saw Wu Ashun move within one stroke of the Lyoness Open lead as Zander Lombard stayed at the head of the pack in Saturday's third round.
Wu laid four shots behind joint leaders Lombard and Gregory Bourdy at the Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg at the half-way point.
But the Chinese is now firmly in contention to seal his second win on the European Tour after a faultless performance moved him to 10 under for the tournament.
He made the turn at seven under and a further three gains on the back nine put him within striking distance, although Lombard would have been further ahead if not for a significant slip-up at the ninth.

The South African picked up shots on four of the opening seven holes, only to then card a triple bogey as he closed the front nine.
Birdies at 11, 14 and 17 ensured Lombard ended the day with a slender advantage, but he still has plenty of work to do in order to claim the title.
Bourdy is a stroke further back after a two-under 70 that featured a pair of doubles, the Frenchman level with Adrian Otaegui in tied third.
Joost Luiten is at eight under as he bids to reclaim the title he won in 2013, with England's Richard McEvoy level with the Dutchman following a four-under 68.
