Olele, who is currently the goalkeepers’ trainer of the national team, was arrested on Thursday at the East Legon tunnel in Accra.
He was arrested together with 21 others who flouted various road traffic regulations while driving.
The Ghana Police Service has been collaborating with Citi TV to fish out persons flouting road traffic rules.
The Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Simon Tenku of the Police Public Affairs Directorate, disclosed that most of the drivers implicated in Thursday’s operation were neglecting the road signs.

According to him, 18 of the implicated drivers have already been processed for prosecution in court.
Olele is the latest popular figure to be caught flouting road regulation, following the arrest of some high-ranking governing officials.
Earlier this month, the MP for Tarkwa Nsuaem, George Mireku Duker, was arrested after he drove in the middle of the road in an attempt to beat traffic.
Some weeks back, the MP for Kade, Kwabena Ohemeng Tinyaase, was also caught disregarding road traffic laws.

Meanwhile, the government has accrued a whopping GH¢258,000 from Citi TV’s ongoing War Against Indiscipline campaign.
So far, about 499 drivers have been arrested for breaching traffic regulations on various roads in Accra, a Police statement said.
