His comments come after the recent erratic power supply witnessed across some areas in the country.

Meanwhile, the ECG has been silent on the matter.

However, speaking on Accra-based Class FM, Mr Asante said the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) had some challenges generating power but that has been resolved.

He gave an assurance that power will be restored fully to the affected places soon.

“The information we are getting from our generators, Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) is that they had a challenge with generation in the morning, and also in the evening on Monday, but luckily and fortunately they were able to restore supply around 8:00 pm and in the morning, too, they were able to solve the problem."

“As much as possible, what I will tell them is that we’re not experiencing any permanent problem that will plunge them into darkness for a period."

“Let me state here and now that what we are experiencing is not load shedding, we are not back to load shedding. It was a temporary challenge and the Ghana Grid Company are on top of the situation and as much as possible, those who have not received supply will receive supply,” Mr Asante said.
