The girl’s mother narrated her ordeal to Accra-based Joy FM, revealing how she reported the defilement to the town’s chief who asked that they consult the gods.

However, the chief priest in the town said the gods declared the suspect innocent and thus he walked away free.

Speaking from the St Francis-Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu where her daughter has been admitted and is in immense pain, the mother narrated what happened to Joy FM.

She is demanding justice for her 4-year-old daughter.

Some Ghanaians took to social media to express their anger at the chief and the gods for setting the accused free and innocent.
