D-Black has finally broken silence on Wanlov's claim that he duped Davido in Tamale.

D-Black and Wanlov in 2016 made headlines after engaging in a short but memorable lyrical battle.

In Wanlov's diss song titled "All Well" which was directed at D-Black, he levelled several allegations against D-Black.

One of the allegations that caught the eyes of the public was when Wanlov claimed D-Black duped Nigerian star, Davido during a concert in Tamale.

Addressing the issue on Pulse.com.gh live Facebook chat, D-Black denied duping Davido and gave a detailed account of how the whole issue happened.

Narrating the incident, the "Vera" hitmaker said:

“In 2014, there was a show ‘Salafest’ in Tamale. They (organisers) booked myself and Davido after our ‘Carry Go’ music video shoot. Davido didn’t show up so the promoter was very upset.

It was a weekend show but Davido had left Nigeria to London and said he was going to come to Ghana after London.

But, on the day he was supposed to leave he called me and said he left his Nigerian passport back in Nigeria so he can't make it to Ghana. So, he asked me to talk to the promoter. So, we postponed the show to two weeks after.

But, mind you, that’s not ‘Sala’ anymore – the festival was over.

Davido came two weeks later. It was hectic getting to Tamale. And when we got to Tamale, the promoter had booked the stadium and was expecting 30,000 people.

Now, when we got to the show, only half that number showed up. After the show, around 3 am, the promoter went to Davido and asked him to refund all his money.

It became a long argument and the promoter cancelled all the flights back to Accra. He insisted he won’t let Davido leave until he gets all his money back.

We never really spoke about it – we kept it under wraps,” he concluded.

D-Black is set to release a comeback song titled "Bottles" featuring Medikal on Friday, July 28.

The video for the song will premiere on Pulse.com.gh Facebook page at 10 am.
