"Ebony charged me 7,000 cedis for remix" - Zigi

Zigi, who has been missing in action, is hoping to make his comeback with a remix of his 2012 hit song which won him the Afro Pop Song of the Year award at the 2012 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.

Kweku Sarpong Plahar, popularly known as Zigi, has disclosed that the management of dancehall singer, Ebony, charged him a whooping GHC 7,000 to feature on the remix to his 2012 hit song “U Say Weytin”.

Zigi, who has been missing in action, is hoping to make his comeback with a remix of his 2012 hit song which won him the Afro Pop Song of the Year award at the 2012 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.

The astounded artist took to social media to give an account indicating that Ebony and he management refused to be on the song when he failed to meet the asking price of GHC 7,000 cedis.

Zigi, who parted ways with his record label Lynx Entertainment, is hoping for another musical hit.

The Ghanaian artist who has been dormant all these said “U Say Weytin” remix which features Kofi Kinaata and Gasmilla took him two years to complete.

He revealed the song was produced by three different producers namely Paynekilla, Bonze Beats and Beatz Dakay.
