Final year students of the BlueCrest School of Fashion & Design (SFD) last Friday showcased their end of year project at a fashion show extravaganza in Accra.

Final year students of the BlueCrest School of Fashion & Design (SFD) last Friday showcased their end of year projects at a fashion show extravaganza in Accra.

The event which took place at the plush Silver Star Towers, Airport City was witnessed by several dignitaries, faculty members, students of the university, family and friends of the finalists. Other fashion insiders who were present at the event included fashion designers Abrantie and Selina Beb as well as Ghanaian model; Chantel Dapaah and Fashion PR specialist Faith Senam.

Guests were thrilled with designs from the eight final year fashion design students who are the first students to graduate from the school with a degree in fashion, design and textile. The collections were made up of 8-10 pieces and ranged from womensfashion, maternity wear, street fashion and African accessories.

Mr Rajesh Kumar K, Academic Head of the BlueCrest School of Fashion & Design opined that his students had lived up to expectation after taking the full course in illustration, pattern making, fashion technology and sewing. According to him, his students are well equipped to compete with global brands as well as the local market.

Awards

Students of the school of Fashion & Design were presented with Awards and certificates for the hardwork they put into their final work. C.E.O of Abrantie, Oheneba Yaw Boamah presented the awards and certificates to students with the help of Selina Bebako-Mensah of Selina Beb bags.
